Bridges Results in White River, WA
White River School District in Washington State adopted Bridges K-5 in the fall of 2007. Mike Jacobsen, Assessment and Curriculum Director, compiled results from the state assessment (WASL) for spring of 2007 and 2008 in order to document the improvement that followed the first year of Bridges implementation.
White River students showed gains across grades 3-5 even as scores statewide were falling. Jacobsen found the gains by special education students to be particularly noteworthy.
