Printed versions of the teachers guides are designed for classroom use. The flexible three-ring binder format allows teachers to add notes and other reference materials. (Color covers, black and white pages).
All guides are also available in electronic form on the Bridges Educator site, which includes additional support resources.
Content for each grade level is divided into eight units. Each begins with an introduction to the core mathematical content and includes helpful charts for teacher planning. In grades 1-5 the last unit integrates science and math.
Each unit contains four modules, each of which contains three to seven sessions that together constitute a coherent sequence of instruction on specific domains. View sample modules on grade level pages.
A session covers a day’s worth of math instruction and includes a lesson plan with step-by-step instructions, along with a list of key skills, detailed standards citations, and guidance about preparing materials.
Bridges includes Number Corner, a self-contained skills reinforcement program. Go to Number Corner Teachers Guides to find out more.

Bridges includes a wide variety of age-appropriate assessments at each grade level, ranging from interviews, observation tips, and short performance tasks for the youngest students to unit pre- and post-assessments, mid-unit checkpoints, and more extensive performance tasks for Grades 2 and up.
While these assessments are embedded in the program itself, a separate Assessment Guide for each grade level provides teachers with the tools they need to use the results of the assessments to inform instructional decisions. Each Assessment Guide includes copies of the assessments, answer keys, scoring guides, and intervention suggestions.
See Sample Materials section on grade level pages to view Assessment Guides.
