Bridges in Mathematics: A Closer Look
Grade Level: K-5 (Currently offered K-5 by individual or blended grade levels.)
This eight week course offers support for those currently implementing Bridges in Mathematics including teachers, resource specialists, student teachers, staff developers, teacher assistants, and paraprofessionals. The extended time frame and online format allow for deep reflection and a learning experience tailored to the particular circumstances of each participant. Areas of focus include:
- Exploring mathematical "Big Ideas" within the lessons you are teaching.
- Using questioning strategies to promote autonomous, self-directed student learning.
- Planning mathematics lessons using visual models.
