Bridges in Mathematics: Follow Up
Grade Level: K-5 (Currently offered K-3 by individual or blended grade levels.)
Designed specifically for those who have participated in a Bridges Getting Started workshop. Experience on-going support throughout the school year as you implement Bridges in Mathematics in your classroom. Meet with teachers at your grade level who are using Bridges to share and collaborate as you plan and prepare upcoming lessons.
Participants in this workshop will:
- Explore the manipulatives and mathematics your students will be learning.
- Develop your own mathematics capacity.
- Learn strategies to help with classroom and materials management.
- Preview Work Places, Problems & Investigations, Home Connections, and Number Corner.
Other topics explored will include assessment strategies, effective questioning and classroom discourse, homework, and parent communication opportunities.
