Two picture books encourage students to further consider this topic. In Balancing Act by Ellen Stoll Walsh, the summary states: "two mice have fun playing on a teeter-totter, but as more and larger friends join them, it becomes increasingly difficult to stay balanced."  In Virginia Kroll's book, Equal Shmequal, animals attempt to play tug-of-war. In order to make it fair, they try to balance teams using a see-saw. Both books provide a delightful exploration of weight comparison.
