Webinar Replay: Guidance Documents for the 2020–21 School Year

Needless to say, we have received many questions related to instruction for the 2020–21 school year:

  • Should I adjust the Bridges Scope and Sequence to address my students’ needs? If so, how?
  • What Bridges resources should I use to address these needs?
  • What changes can I make regarding hygiene and social distancing?

To address these concerns, The Math Learning Center created a series of grade-level Guidance Documents. These Guidance Documents (BES login required) include a revised scope and sequence for the year along with revised unit planners, unit screeners and an implementation guide for each unit.

All told, that is quite a bit of information for Bridges educators to get their heads around! We hosted a one-hour webinar on August 6 to walk through the documents and answer questions. A link to the replay is included below for your convenience.

In addition, we’ve produced an abridged version of the Guidance Document webinar content in the form of a 12-minute self-study video. I encourage you to share it with your colleagues.

This webinar was the first of many we have planned to support Bridges teachers this school year. Next is Building a Successful Bridges Classroom in 2020–21   on September 2 at 1:30 PM Pacific Time. In this 90-minute webinar, our curriculum consultants will introduce the Tech-Enhanced Activities, Math at Home resources and Digital Work Places and go over how they are meant to be used in conjunction with the guidance documents.
