Bridges Third Edition Workshops

Bridges in Mathematics Third Edition Getting Started: Implementation Grades K-2

The remote Getting Started: Implementation workshop is designed for teachers getting ready to implement the Bridges in Mathematics Third Edition curriculum in kindergarten through second grade. 
 
Educators will:
  • Understand the three components of Bridges and how they work together to engage all students in mathematics
  • Be prepared to plan and facilitate Bridges lessons in equitable ways within their specific context
The workshop is led by a facilitator via Zoom and is held over two consecutive days. Each day includes a 3-hour session.
 
Requirements: 
  • Your school or district has purchased Bridges in Mathematics Third Edition for kindergarten, grade 1, or grade 2.
  • You have access to the Bridges Educator Site for Third Edition. If you do not have access, please contact your BES account administrator.

Bridges Intervention Workshops

Bridges Intervention provides targeted instruction and assessment for essential K–5 mathematics skills and concepts. A strengths-based approach builds on each student’s abilities—starting with manipulatives, then moving to two-dimensional representations and mental images.

Requirements: In order to enroll in this workshop, your school or district must have purchased Bridges Intervention and/or Bridges in Mathematics. Access to the Second Edition Bridges Educator Site https://bridges.mathlearningcenter.org is necessary to participate in this workshop.

Bridges Intervention Getting Started Workshop

The Bridges Intervention Getting Started Workshop is intended for interventionists new to using Bridges Intervention. This is a 3.5-hour facilitated workshop via Zoom with no self-study. Educators will experience a variety of active sessions that will help them understand the organization of the volumes, placement assessments, progress monitoring, entry points, and management of the materials.

Beyond Getting Started: Connecting Knowledge & Practice with Bridges Intervention Workshop

The Beyond Getting Started workshop is intended for interventionists using Bridges Intervention. This is a 3.5-hour facilitated workshop via Zoom with no self-study. Participants will explore how to identify and address areas for differentiation and reengagement using Bridges Intervention, how to work flexibly across volumes, and how to implement Bridges Intervention to support all students as doers and sensemakers of mathematics.
 
Note: The examples used during this workshop will be from Bridges Intervention REVISED.
