# Teaching Strategies for Math

I recently helped co-host a S’more Math Family Night event that was a hit for all involved.

As teachers, we are continually challenged to find multiple ways to reach all students when teaching mathematics. Guided math can help you develop practical techniques, instructional strategies and routines that allow you to work with your students in small groups at their level of understanding and need.

MLC will showcase our new edition of Bridges in Mathematics as well as our growing collection of free virtual manipulatives at the NCTM regional conference November 6-8 in Louisville, Kentucky.

The Math Learning Center is pleased to announce the Bridges University Program. “The purpose of this program is to provide the content of Bridges second edition to schools of education as a resource for math related courses,” explained Rick Ludeman MLC president.

Guided math is a structured, practical way of matching math instruction to the diverse individual learners in the classroom. This approach respects the belief that every child is capable of learning and understanding mathematics and recognizes that students learn to do mathematics at varying rates of development and over time. ** **
