Dr. David Moursund

He is now a retired faculty member from the University of Oregon, where he taught for about 40 years in the Mathematics and Computer Science Departments, and in the College of Education. During his teaching career he served as major professor or co-major professor for 76 doctoral students in education and six in mathematics. He also founded the International Society for Technology in Education in 1979 and headed that professional society for 19 years.

In 2007 Dave started the nonprofit company Information Age Education. IAE makes available a wide range of free materials for educators interested in math education, computers in education, and brain science in education.

Dr. Moursund will be writing a series of MLC blog entries specifically for pre-service and in-service teachers of math as well as for parents and others interested in PreK-12 educational systems.
