Learning to Think Mathematically Series Now Free from MLC
The Learning to Think Mathematically series, written by Dr. Jeff Frykholm, is now available free from The Math Learning Center. These insightful books provide families and educators with innovative resources and novel strategies to help young learners develop powerful mathematical insights and problem-solving strategies.
The premise underlying the Learning to Think Mathematically series is that most of the mathematics in the elementary grades can be taught through a small number of powerful mathematical models. When properly understood, these models can help children solve a wide variety of math problems in the classroom, and those they confront in daily life.
"I’m delighted to know that the Learning to Think Mathematically series will have a new home with The Math Learning Center,” said author Jeff Frykholm. “I have long appreciated the fine work of MLC and their philosophical approach to the teaching and learning of mathematics. I think the Learning to Think Mathematically series matches the direction and spirit of MLC, and I hope these books will continue to be a source of support and inspiration for educators and learners in the years ahead."
The following books can be downloaded in PDF format from the Learning to Think Mathematically section of the MLC website:
